“Lil Wayne Might Cut His Dreads Off”

October 27, 2009 6 comments

Once Lil Wayne reports to prison he might have to cut his dreads off.

An expert on jail procedures says that New York inmates aren’t allowed to have excessive hair on their head unless there in cornrows and it can’t go past their neck.

WDKX – Rochester, New York

As word is still spreading that LIL WAYNE was sentenced to one year in state prison, now come the inevitable questions: logistics.

Among many of the questions comes an interesting one: Will Weezy have to cut off his dreadlocks?

By now most of the world knows Wayne with his signature dreads – he even helped spur a resurgence of the tedious style following his meteoric success. But according to New York State law, dreadlocks are almost always forbidden. Read more…

50 Cent Responds To Fabolous Questioning His Intentions With Uniting NY

October 6, 2009 Leave a comment

50 Cent attempted to unify New York Hip Hop this past weekend with a show featuring Dipset, D-Block, Uncle Murda, Cory Gunz, Red Cafe, Wyclef Jean, Maino, Slaughterhouse, Papoose, Kid Cudi, Wale and more on Governer’s Island. The show was a success however Fabolous took to his twitter page earlier today and questioned 50 Cents intentions while blaming him for breaking the unity in New York to begin with.

“Reading what Fab said about me on Twitter was disappointing. I have extended myself to Fab personally to allow him to expand himself as an international Touring Artist. I Thought we were Friends but that’s cool. ”

Law #2: Never put too much trust in Friends, Learn how to use Enemies Be wary of friends—they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.

—50th Law of Power.

Fabolous had this to say about 50 Cent earlier today on twitter.

Its interesting to c 50 Cent unite wit NY artists when he’s 1 of the reasons NY hip hop became so isolated & crumbled..Do u agree NY?? I wonder if this is a law in the 50th law of power book?? I guess it was a good show 4 NY.. But if u asked 50 a few years ago if he ever saw hisself on stage with any of them he woulda said HELL NO! At 50’s peak his grind was unmatched, image was bulletproof, music was ignorantly motivational & catchy, even classic. most never hav that. So dont think im takin shots at 50.. Jus that NY show had me a lil puzzled.. But i love NY so i couldnt knock it if i wanted to. Does Fabolous have a point? Would 50 Cent reach out to NY artist if he was still on top like before? I mean takes price in his new book which makes it obvious every move he makes has a reason behind it.

50 Cent chose to pick beefs with alot of NY artists during his career and even kicked members off of his squad for doing features with artists he didn’t like. NY Beefs: JaRule, Fat Joe, Nas, Jay-z, Jada Kiss, Styles P…Am I missing anyone here?

QUEENS, N.Y. (WPIX) – Police were on the hunt Saturday for suspects in the deadly shooting of a 13-year-old boy on his way home from school.

Kevin Miller took a shot to the head Friday, and died a short time later at a local hospital. Also hit during the same shooting, was a 17-year-old bystander. He’s was shot in the thigh, and is listed in stable condition.

Eyewitnesses told police a fight broke out around 3:15 p.m. between a group of school kids, and that’s when the bullets started flying. They were in front of a car wash at the corner of Springfield and Linden Boulevards in Cambria Heights.

Police are trying to determine if Miller was in the wrong place, at the wrong time — or, if he was a target.

If you have any information, call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-877-TIPS; all calls will be kept confidential.
